A vast majority of past and current rowers and parents believe that being part of North Orlando Rowing changed their lives for the better. The reasons include:

  • Fitness- All North Orlando Rowing athletes have experienced physical transformations being a part of a competitive team. North Orlando Rowing conditioning and strength training will change appearances, self perception and self-esteem.
  • Being part of a team- Rowing is the ultimate team sport. In addition to individual conditioning and strength factors, rowing requires a synchronicity not found in many other sports.
  • Discipline- Balancing the sport with scholastic work and other pursuits may be challenging at first. The end result, however, will be a focused young adult with time-management skills, ready to take on life’s challenges.
  • College Opportunities/ Scholarships- No sport offers more opportunity for college scholarships than rowing. Colleges throughout the country scout the regattas attended by North Orlando Rowing.
